ThePCM3000/3001isalow-cost,single-chipstereoaudiocodec(analog-to-digitalanddigital-to-analogconverter)withsingle-endedanalogvoltageinputandoutput.

BothADCsandDACsemploydelta-sigmamodu-lationwith64-timesoversampling.TheADCsincludeadigitaldecimationfilterandtheDACsincludean8-timesoversamplingdigitalinterpolationfilter.TheDACsalsoincludedigitalattenuation,de-emphasis,infinitezerodetectionandsoftmutetoformacompletesubsystem.ThePCM3000/3001operateswithleft-justified,right-justified,I2SorDSPdataformats.

ThePCM3000canbeprogrammedwithathree-wireserialinterfaceforspecialfeaturesanddataformats.ThePCM3001canbepin-programmedfordataformats.

ThePCM3000andPCM3001arefabricatedusingahighlyadvancedCMOSprocessandareavailableinasmall28-pinSSOPpackage.ThePCM3000/3001aresuitableforawidevarietyofcost-sensitiveconsumerapplicationswheregoodperformanceisrequired.
