The man disagrees with the new change ... keeping the computer lab open at night to meet students' needs. He seems to have two reasons.

The first reason he thought it was unnecessary ... is because he thinks that students should study during the day ... and they should have some kind of

personal, night life. It sounds like he doesn't like evening classes ... and even felt a bit offended they didn't ask him first.

The second is that he thinks the professors will make more money by having to teach extra night classes. And ... that *that* money could have been used to buy more computers ... instead. It sounds like he thinks simply adding more computers would solve the problem.

Those are the two reasons he gave for disagreeing.

The man likes the way the orientation plan for new students changed ... going from two days of hiking to one day with a choice of hiking or playing games.

He said that new students are too busy as it is, and taking a whole weekend to hike takes too much time away from the important things.

He said that they are there to be students, and it is important for them to meet the teachers, pay their tuition, prepare for classes, and so on.

He added that the students may feel they are wasting too much time hiking so they might choose to skip that long orientation.

So, he said that changing it to one day with a choice of hiking or playing games it a great idea.

The man doesn't like the university's plan to turn the art gallery into an office building.

There are two main reasons for the plan given in the notice ... and he simply responds to both of them.
