1. When is your birthday ,Vera? 你的生日是什么时候，薇拉？
When用于引导询问时间的特殊疑问句，可以用来对年、月、日等时间提问。回答时，用at,in,on等加具体时间组成的表时间的介词短语。
例：-When do you get up every day?
- At seven o'clock.
区别：when和what time
除了when之外，还可用what time对时间提问。What time用于询问具体时刻，when一般用于询问某年，某月，某日。询问做某事的时间时，when和what time 可以互换。
例：-What time is it ?
-It is 6 o'clock.
when一般不对时刻提问，而是问某事何时做。
例：-When do you go to bed?
-I go to bed at ten .
2.birthday n.生日
这是一个合成词，它是由名词birth和名词day组成的。
例：Tody is my birthday .今天是我的生日。
拓展：当要祝贺别人生日快乐时常说：Happy birthday to you !
庆祝生日时常说：Let's celebrate her birthday !
当问别人生日时想要什么，可以说：What do you want for you birthday?
3.date n.日期
What's the date today? 今天是几号？
区别：date与day
(1)date的意思是日期，常指几月几日。答语一般先说几月，再说日期，最后说年份。
例：-What's the date today?
-It's October 15th,2006.
（2）day的意思是“天；白天”，常指一个星期内七天中的某一天、
例：What day is it today?
She goes to school every day .
4.英语中的日期是按月，日，年排序，日与年之间加逗号
如：1997年12月1日 December 1(st)，1997
介词搭配：“在某年”用介词In； 如：In 2000 ，Mr's students were born.
“某年某月”用介词in 如：In May, I went to the park.
