MY DREAM 高中生英语演讲稿
MY DREAM
December17, 2007

Hello! My name is Cheng Lufei, from Class 2, Senior 3. Good afternoon,
teachers and friends!
All of us have dreams. Different people have different dreams. Today
I'm going to tell you something about my dream. My dream is to be a
volunteer of the 2008 Olympic Games in our capital, Beijing.
"One world, one dream!" the slogan of the 2008 Olympic Games which
will be held in Beijing encourages me a lot. Like many other young people,
it's a great honor for one to be a volunteer, showing our history, our
rich culture, our custom and the ways of our thinking, making ourselves
better understood by other nations. On the other hand, I can learn a lot
of things such as social knowledge and significant cultures, which make me
a mature and useful man in the future. To be honest, I really feel that my
dream seems too far away from me now, because my English is still so poor
that I've no idea whether I can reach my goal. I dream that I could speak
English naturally and fluently.
Anyway, I will study hard to improve my spoken English in order to make my
dream come true. I'm sure, only working hard, can I become a success.
Where there is a will, there is a way. Otherwise, there is nothing but
failures waiting for me.
