Furthermore, since the students try so hard to get high marks, there is a great temptation for them to cheat in the examinations. We know examinations have bad effects, but it doesn’t mean we should cancel examinations. It is no denying fact that examinations are good for students in some degree. First of all, it advances educational equity. Secondly, there are a variety of examinations types in our life, not only the academic examinations, but also interview or other tests. Students are judged not only by their scores or performance, but their teamwork、 morality、their ability or potential ability, etc. Last but not the least, examinations force students to study hard. They are good motivations. We might marvel at the progress made in every field of study, but the methods of testing a person’s knowledge and ability remain as primitive as examinations ever were. Examinations do work all these years. Educationists have still failed to devise anything more efficient and reliable than examinations.

To sum up, the examinations system should be further improved since it has a lot disadvantages. However, meanwhile we should take an appropriate attitude towards it.
